Ethos Leadership

Cassie Zielke, MSN, RN is the Administrator of Ethos Home Care and Hospice. Cassie began employment with Ethos in 2014 as the director of home care. In 2017 Cassie transitioned to her current role as Administrator of Home Care and Hospice. She earned two Associates of Science in Nursing degrees from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, MN. She furthered her education and earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND.
 
Cassie’s nursing career began in home care working as a certified nursing assistant, then as a licensed practical nurse. Throughout her registered nursing career, she has had the opportunity to gain experience, knowledge and leadership skills while working in skilled nursing facilities, clinic nursing administration, and hospital case management. 

Cassie feels blessed to be able to lead the Ethos team to fulfill the mission of enriching the quality of living of each patient they serve. She enjoys learning something new every day, which is not hard to come by with the ever-changing health care industry. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.

Shelby Morrow, RN, BSN is the Director of Ethos Hospice. Shelby grew up on her family farm in Hatton and Mapleton, ND. She graduated from West Fargo High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Jamestown College in 2010.  Her nursing career started on an inpatient Oncology floor which included oncology, med-surg and end of life patients. She then transferred to a dermatology clinic where she gained wound care knowledge and experience.   

Shelby joined Ethos Home Care in 2016 as a home care nurse and loved that she was able to use prior knowledge and skills from previous nursing jobs to help patients be successful and stay in the place they call home.  Caring for patients in their own environment is a truly unique nursing job unlike any other. It is an honor to be welcomed into people’s home to serve as an educator and caretaker to help improve patient outcomes.

Shelby transitioned into the Director of Hospice at Ethos in August of 2018.  Shelby developed a passion for end of life care early on in her nursing career as well as serving as a preceptor to several nurses along the way.   These two combined passions will continue to be used in her current role serving as a leader to the growing Ethos Hospice program. 

Aside from work, Shelby and her husband have two little girls who keep them busy. They love to spend as much free time as the can with family and friends. She also enjoys crafting and decorating.

Brittni Kraft-McGarry, MSN, RN is the Director of Ethos Home Care. In 2015, Brittni started working with Ethos as a home care visit nurse. The variety of nursing skills, flexibility, and caring for people in their homes are what captured her affection for home care. She feels it’s most rewarding to help people continue their medical care where they’re most comfortable- at home! 
 
Before planting roots in Fargo, Brittni grew up in Minot, ND. She spent her college years in Bismarck, ND at the University of Mary where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees. Her nursing background includes medical/surgical, mental health, inpatient rehab, dermatology and of course, home care. She loves that her nursing career has allowed her to experience a holistic spectrum of care by caring for patients in the hospital, in the clinic, and in their homes. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and working out.
 
Learning and caring for people are Brittni’s passion which is why she loves nursing so much! Two of her favorite quotes come from the late Maya Angelou: “You can only become truly accomplished at something you love,” and “If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” In the healthcare world, it seems the only thing constant is change. With Maya Angelou’s words in mind, she strives to keep doing what she loves by helping the Ethos team adapt and grow with the changes to meet their clients’ needs and enrich their quality of life. 

Dr. Nelson is the Medical Director for Ethos Home Care and Hospice program. He strives to provide high quality, comprehensive healthcare to all of his patients. Along with treating a wide variety of acute illnesses, Dr. Nelson also specializes in the management of complex chronic diseases. Areas of interest include diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, orthopedics/sports medicine, depression/anxiety as well as well-child care, men’s and women’s health.

Mark Anderson

Mark Anderson, President/CEO of Knute Nelson is the President and CEO of Knute Nelson, a nonprofit senior housing and services organization based in Alexandria, MN. Mark has served in the long-term care industry for over 17 years. He serves as Treasurer on the Aging Services of Minnesota Board of Directors and Chairs the Aging Services Group Board of Directors. Mark holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Mary in Bismarck, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Concordia in Moorhead, and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator.

Marnie Gugisberg

Marnie Gugisberg, SVP & CFO at Knute Nelson is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Knute Nelson. Her previous accounting experience includes St. Francis Health Services in Morris, MN. Marnie is currently pursuing her Nursing Home Administrator's license from the University of Minnesota. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Minnesota State University in Moorhead and an Associate of Arts Degree in Accounting from Fergus Falls Community College.

Tom Anderson

Thomas Anderson is a life-long resident of Alexandria, Minnesota, where he owned and operated the Anderson Funeral Home for over 35 years.  In that community he has served in several volunteer capacities including being a Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce, Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission, and Lutheran Social Services. Mr. Anderson served for several years on the board of the Alexandria Wells Fargo Bank.  He also has served as a Board Member and Chair of the Knute Nelson organization in Alexandria. Mr. Anderson currently serves as a member of the University of Minnesota Board of Regents where he is Chair of the Finance and Operations Committee. He is married to his wife, Angie, and they have two adult children, Kreg and Jack.

Shawn Stuhaug

Shawn Stuhaug, President/CEO of Bethany Retirement Living is the President/CEO at Bethany Retirement Living, a senior housing and services organization based in Fargo, ND. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead and completed the Long-Term Care Administration Program at Concordia College through the Tri-College University. Shawn also holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Mary.

Jane Kelly

Jane Kelly, CFO at Bethany Retirement Living has been the Chief Financial Officer at Bethany Retirement Living for 21 years and has been with Bethany for 29 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Jane is a member of the North Dakota Long Term Care Association Funding and Reimbursement Committee.

Jack Rydell

Jack Rydell, DNP, RN, is an Associate Professor in the nursing program at Concordia College. He has served as faculty at Concordia College for 13 years. In addition, he works as a staff RN at Sanford Health on a per diem basis in the Palliative Care Unit. Jack received his Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Jamestown College. He received his Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota, and then earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota. 

Jon Riewer

Jon Riewer, President/CEO of Eventide Senior Living Communities is the President and CEO of Eventide Senior Living Communities, a nonprofit, faith-based long term care and senior services provider based in Moorhead, MN. Jon has over 20 years of experience in healthcare administration serving the communities of Fargo-Moorhead, Detroit Lakes, MN, Cokato, MN and Cando, ND. He has a Bachelor Degree in Health Services Administration from Concordia College and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Mary.

Wade Stubson

Wade Stubson, CFO of Eventide Senior Living Communities is the Chief Financial Officer for Eventide Senior Living, a nonprofit, faith-based long term care and senior services provider based in Moorhead, MN. Wade earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Moorhead State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Stubson has over 26 years of experience in health care accounting, finance, and management.
